Project Engineer
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the design, coordination, and management of wastewater treatment and collection system projects. This role offers a balance of technical design work, project oversight, and client interaction. You'll collaborate closely with municipalities, utilities, and internal teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Our client, a reputable Civil Engineering firm headquartered in Hartford, CT, is seeking a Licensed Project Engineer with experience in wastewater infrastructure projects. Description
As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
Design and manage wastewater infrastructure projects including treatment facilities, pump stations, and sewer networks.
Prepare engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with local and state regulatory agencies to ensure permitting and code compliance.
Conduct site visits, construction oversight, and troubleshooting during implementation.
Interface with clients, contractors, and internal design teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
Support project budgets, schedules, and overall quality assurance.
Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut is required.
5+ years of experience in wastewater and/or water resources engineering.
Familiarity with EPA and CTDEEP regulations, permitting, and design standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydraulic modeling software (e.g., SewerCAD, WaterGEMS).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
