Project Engineer - Metal Fabrication - Franklin, MA
The Project Engineer at with be responsible for high-specification engineering projects from design through completion. This individual will combine project management with mechanical and systems engineering responsibilities while coordinating cross‑functional teams and customer requirements. Client Details

Reporting directly into the Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Own end‑to‑end execution of high‑specification engineering projects, combining project management with hands‑on engineering oversight.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and controls design activities to ensure systems meet contract requirements and standards.
- Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, critical paths, and progress payments.
- Interface directly with customers to define objectives, clarify specifications, and support installation planning.
- Review designs, specify purchased components, and ensure compliance with quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cross‑functional teams across production, electrical, service, quality, and sales to deliver projects on time.
- Manage suppliers, sourcing, BOMs, and ERP entries to support fabrication and system builds.
- Identify risks, resolve technical and schedule issues, and escalate problems as needed to ensure successful project completion.
Profile
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and mechanical design
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, and working on government contracts
- CAD, CREO experience
- Experience reading and creating detailed drawings for industrial machinery
- Experience working with industrial machinery
- US Citizenship required
