Project Manager - General Contractor - Green Bay, WI

As a Project Manager at my client, you will oversee a diverse range of projects, leveraging your skills to ensure successful project delivery from concept to completion. Your ability to manage resources, mitigate risks, and foster collaborative relationships will be pivotal in achieving outstanding results and maintaining their reputation as one of Wisconsin's top general contractor.

My client is one of Wisconsin's largest general contractors and they are known for their expertise and consistent presence across the Wisconsin construction market. With 100+ years of experience building, they have the skills and knowledge to take on almost any type of project. Their current pipeline contains a lot of education and municipal work.

Description

  • Develops robust relationships with clients, design partners, and project stakeholders by understanding clients' business priorities, making regular site visits, and facilitating communication within the project team.
  • Assists in the construction management process for assigned projects, involving tasks such as reviewing client contracts, participating in preconstruction and bidding, overseeing submittals and RFIs, managing purchases, resolving subcontractor issues, analyzing self-perform activities, and leading project closeouts.
  • Actively monitors and manages job cost and labor production, participating in recurring meetings with project executives to discuss project financials.
  • Vigilantly tracks project cashflow, billings, and negotiates Potential Change Items (PCIs).
  • Engages in proactive risk management by identifying and addressing potential issues, conducting risk analysis, and preparing observation reports.
  • Creates and maintains project schedules, ensuring alignment of activities and team members.
  • Monitors project success, adjusting plans in response to challenges and milestones, and communicates changes to the project team.
  • Conducts weekly schedule updates to stay on top of project timelines.
  • Performs other assigned duties related to project management.

Profile

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a suitable combination of education and professional experience aligned with the specified responsibilities.
  • While prior construction management experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, along with outstanding interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with the company's leadership team, client organizations, and the community.
  • Demonstrated qualities of being well-organized, dedicated to pre-planning, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently, work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, quickly learn and adapt, while maintaining keen attention to detail and a commitment to customer service.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office 365, Primavera P6, Procore, and Bluebeam.
