Systems Design Engineer - Exeter, NH
My client is currently looking for a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department. This role involves overseeing project design, analysis, and drafting, along with preparing all engineering details and documentation needed to meet customer specifications and requirements before production release.

Their solutions support a range of industries, including electronics, pharmaceuticals, and materials science.
Description
This role will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for
- Designing innovative mechanical components and systems for new products and customized solutions.
- Researching and specifying top-notch components to meet system requirements.
- Crafting layout models and drawings for customer approval, bringing ideas to life.
- Developing fabrication and sub-assembly drawings for vendors to quote and purchase.
- Supporting project management, manufacturing, assembly, and system testing to ensure success.
- Conducting FEA and engineering analysis, producing reports that validate design effectiveness.
- Creating detailed Process and Instrumentation Diagrams to enhance clarity.
- Reviewing specifications to ensure designs meet all relevant standards and codes.
- Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing comprehensive drawing packages and documentation for release.
- Addressing department-related non-conformances to keep projects on track.
- Guiding draftsmen and designers in producing models and drawings for complex projects.
- Developing testing and commissioning documentation to ensure project readiness.
- Taking on any additional duties as needed to drive project success.
Profile
The successful candidate will have
- 5+ years of systems and components design experience
- Engineering degree, Mechanical preferred
- Pneumatics, automation, bearings, piping, and structures experience
- Knowledge of design of component and systems
- Sheet metal and 3D manufacturing knowledge a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
