Engineering Manager - Precision Plastics - Naugatuck, CT
This leadership role oversees engineering and project management activities within a growing manufacturing organization, driving process improvements, quality initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. The position combines hands-on technical support with team mentorship to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Description
This Engineering Manager will:
- Lead and mentor Project Managers/Project Engineers to ensure timely, accurate project execution.
- Collaborate with Quality, Molding, Pad Printing, and Assembly teams to implement best manufacturing practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational productivity.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal functional groups.
- Recommend staffing, vendors, equipment, and facility improvements to support growth.
- Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 13485:2016).
- Lead projects, solve operational issues, and enforce documentation control throughout the project lifecycle.
Profile
A successful Engineering Manager will have:
- Proven experience leading manufacturing and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management, Lean, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
