Lead Superintendent - Multifamily & Historical Renovations

My client is currently hiring for a Lead Superintendent to be on their fluid pipeline of challenging and interesting projects in the Greater Boston area! They are looking for a highly motivated individual looking to grow their career!

I am currently partnered with a renowned construction company that has been in the Construction Industry since its founding 30+ years ago. Their office is based out of Brookline, MA and they work on a diverse pipeline of projects throughout the Greater Boston area, specifically in Boston, Brookline, and along the 495 belt. This company is ran by two former executives of one of the top and one of the largest GCs in the Boston area, so it is perfect for an individual looking for a smaller company with the resources and stability of a large GC. They put a large focus on developing and promoting talent from within the business and are looking for an individual with 3-5 years of scheduling experience.

Description

• Responsible for general supporting contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications under direction from the Superintendent.
• Check and verify subcontractor layout to ensure compliance with established control, line and grade.
• Monitor production and record rates in logbook to be used for future scheduling.
• Maintain a set of production documents and update daily so an accurate picture of work in place is consistently maintained.
• Report any and all field conditions and issues to the Superintendent.
• Monitor job progress on-site, checking all work to ensure compliance with contract documents and the Quality Control Program.
• Work with Superintendent to develop and carry out the plan and schedule for project work.
• Plan and prepare documentation to facilitate the close out process at the discretion of the Superintendent.
• Work with and coach field engineers on the project to facilitate their skills development.

Profile

The ideal Lead Superintendent will have:

• 10+ years years of Lead Superintendent experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related preferred (or relevant experience)
• MA-CSL
• Project experience within healthcare, life science, commercial or related markets
• Experience managing large, complex projects valued $20M+
• Experience working locally in Boston preferred
• Ability to communicate with subcontractors and other project team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
• Ability to mulitask
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill
