Client Details
Our client is a reputable mid-sized general contractor with a strong, experienced leadership team and a defined regional structure. Their project portfolio consists primarily of commercial interior fit-outs as well as select ground‑up construction projects. The company emphasizes collaboration, safety, and high-quality delivery across all their work in the Northeast region.Description
- Safety Leadership: Oversee and manage the company's safety department, including policies, procedures, and on-site implementation.
- Traveling Role: Conduct regular site visits across the Northeast region to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company protocols.
- Quality Control: Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
- Documentation: Maintain up‑to‑date safety documentation, reporting, and training records.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate closely with project management and field teams to proactively identify risks and implement preventive safety measures.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure company-wide adherence to OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 requirements, while promoting additional safety certifications.
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in construction or safety, with at least 3 years working for a general contractor.
- Possesses required OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certifications; additional certifications are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience managing people and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to lead training sessions and present safety programs.
- Highly organized, with excellent time-management skills and strong computer proficiency.
- Willing and able to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
- Conversational Spanish skills are an advantage.
