Associate Director, Credit Review
This role evaluates the quality of credit risk management, the soundness of loan structures, and the accuracy of risk ratings across U.S. wholesale portfolios. You'll partner with first‑ and second‑line teams, senior leaders, and regulators to help maintain strong credit controls and uphold the integrity of the firm's lending practices.

Key Responsibilities
Credit Review & Risk Assessment
- Lead and participate in reviews of wholesale and wealth portfolios, evaluating underwriting quality, risk ratings, portfolio management practices, emerging risks, and adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Partner with leadership to execute the annual, risk‑based review plan and ensure comprehensive coverage of the loan book.
- Assess borrower‑level and sector‑level credit risk; identify remediation needs and clearly communicate findings.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments of assigned industries and exposure areas.
- Recommend enhancements to risk frameworks, governance structures, and internal processes.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to junior team members.
- Collaborate across all three lines of defense to ensure proper identification, documentation, and resolution of credit‑related risks.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors, to maintain transparency and credibility.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and automation to strengthen review processes and monitoring capabilities.
Profile
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of wholesale credit experience-underwriting, adjudication, credit review, audit, consulting, or regulatory supervision.
- Strong understanding of lending products, capital markets, and relevant regulatory expectations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams, manage multiple priorities, and operate with strong accountability.
Preferred
- Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in a supervisory or regulatory oversight role.
Job Offer
Salary range $150,000 - $200,000.
