Superintendent- Grocery Store Construction
Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation grocery store projects throughout South Florida, with a focus on active retail environments. This role will lead field operations, schedules, subcontractors, and quality control on projects for major grocery clients such as Publix.

The client is a well-established general contractor with a strong reputation in retail and grocery store construction across Florida. They are known for repeat business with national grocery brands, a collaborative culture, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.
Description
Manage all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout
Oversee grocery store ground-up builds, renovations, and remodels, often in occupied or fast-track environments
Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and internal project teams
Enforce jobsite safety, quality control, and company standards
Maintain project schedules, conduct daily/weekly planning meetings, and track progress
Resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays and cost overruns
Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and local building codes
Profile
5+ years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor
Proven background in grocery store or big-box retail construction (Publix experience strongly preferred)
Experience working on fast-paced, schedule-driven projects in live retail environments
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades
Solid understanding of South Florida building codes and inspection processes
OSHA certification preferred
