Superintendent- Grocery Store Construction
We are seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead ground-up and renovation grocery store projects across South Florida. This role will oversee all on-site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Our client is a well-established general contractor with a strong reputation throughout South Florida for delivering high-quality retail and commercial projects. They are a preferred builder for several national and regional grocery brands and are known for their repeat business, strong subcontractor relationships, and commitment to safety and performance.
Description
Manage all daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and municipal authorities
Develop and maintain project schedules, site logistics plans, and short-interval look-ahead schedules
Enforce all safety policies and OSHA requirements on the jobsite
Ensure work is completed in compliance with drawings, specifications, and company quality standards
Conduct subcontractor meetings, daily huddles, and progress walks with ownership and project teams
Track field productivity, manage punch lists, and drive projects to on-time completion
Maintain accurate daily reports, inspections, and project documentation
Profile
5+ years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor
Proven experience delivering grocery store construction projects in South Florida is required
Strong background in ground-up and renovation retail construction
Deep knowledge of building systems, sitework, and MEP coordination for grocery environments
Ability to manage fast-track schedules and work in live/occupied store environments when required
Excellent leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills
Familiarity with South Florida permitting, inspections, and local codes preferred
Proficient with construction scheduling and reporting tools
