Superintendent- Grocery Store Construction

We are seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead ground-up and renovation grocery store projects across South Florida. This role will oversee all on-site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

• Manage all daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout

• Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and municipal authorities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, site logistics plans, and short-interval look-ahead schedules

• Enforce all safety policies and OSHA requirements on the jobsite

• Ensure work is completed in compliance with drawings, specifications, and company quality standards

• Conduct subcontractor meetings, daily huddles, and progress walks with ownership and project teams

• Track field productivity, manage punch lists, and drive projects to on-time completion

• Maintain accurate daily reports, inspections, and project documentation

Profile

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor

• Proven experience delivering grocery store construction projects in South Florida is required

• Strong background in ground-up and renovation retail construction

• Deep knowledge of building systems, sitework, and MEP coordination for grocery environments

• Ability to manage fast-track schedules and work in live/occupied store environments when required

• Excellent leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills

• Familiarity with South Florida permitting, inspections, and local codes preferred

• Proficient with construction scheduling and reporting tools
