Manufacturing - Mechanical Supervisor - Derry, NH

This position oversees day‑to‑day activities across several job sites, ensuring that mechanical installation or piping work is completed safely, correctly, and according to project timelines. The role includes planning, crew coordination, reviewing site conditions, and supporting project managers with manpower needs, workflows, and general field operations.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Participate in site visits to assess project scope, equipment needs, and potential hazards.
• Lead safe execution of mechanical or piping work while ensuring compliance with company policies and facility procedures.
• Monitor progress, address challenges, and provide recommendations to maintain schedule and productivity.
• Verify workmanship, including installation quality, alignment, cleanliness, and overall system readiness.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure equipment and tools are properly used and stored.
• Support the development and coaching of field teams, apprentices, and new technicians.
• Build relationships with site personnel and identify opportunities to quote additional work.
• Manage administrative tasks such as documentation, time reporting, work summaries, and safety forms.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

• 8+ years of mechanical or process piping experience in manufacturing or production settings (food, beverage, pharma, or similar).
• Strong understanding of piping systems, installation practices, and industry standards.
• Confident leader able to direct large crews and coordinate multiple ongoing projects.
• Skilled at reading drawings, P&IDs, specs, and scope documents.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer‑facing demeanor.
• Familiarity with OSHA practices and general safety requirements.
• Comfortable with basic digital tools such as Excel, Word, and project‑tracking software.
