Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment in our food manufacturing facility. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary repairs to maintain optimal performance. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and experience in a food manufacturing environment

Description

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to operations during repairs.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout all maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs and part replacements.
• Work closely with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed.
• Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety regulations at all times.

Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, ideally in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
