Applications Engineer - Sutton, NH
Reporting into the VP of Engineering, the Applications Engineer is a critical role in the Engineering & Manufacturing department. The successful Applications Engineer will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing technical support and solutions to customers.

Description
The Applications Engineer will:
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to develop system designs that meet customer requirements, using analytical and empirical methods while estimating costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues related to product applications.
- Support marketing and sales efforts through professional interactions with colleagues and customers.
- Lead the creation and implementation of advanced training programs and support resources.
- Foster collaboration across departments to drive research and development initiatives, leveraging specialized expertise.
- Evaluate existing product applications and provide market insights to Marketing and Engineering teams.
- Monitor competitive products and share relevant industry insights across the company.
- Strengthen corporate presence by conducting training seminars, attending trade shows, and participating in industry conferences.

Profile
A successful Applications Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical field from an accredited institution, with a passion for continuous learning.
- Extensive experience in photonics, including expertise in optics, radiometry, photometry, color science, imaging devices, remote sensing, sensor design, electronics, electro-optics, integrating sphere design, LEDs, and lasers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and colleagues, along with advanced technical writing proficiency.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects through independent planning and execution.
- Willingness to travel independently (~10%) and adapt to flexible working hours.
