Job Requirements of Construction Project Manager - Education Projects:
Interpret and apply all project specifications and contract terms, ensuring materials and subcontractor work meet quality and compliance standards.Oversee project scheduling and maintain consistent communication with project managers and stakeholders to track progress.
Prioritize tasks, assess workforce requirements, and delegate responsibilities based on skill sets and training.
Monitor and manage the flow of materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities on-site.
Control labor-related expenses by tracking costs, identifying budget discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures.
Train team members on job responsibilities, site protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including equipment logs, daily activity reports, safety records, and timekeeping.
Conduct routine inspections to verify that construction activities align with contract specifications and standards.
Lead quality assurance efforts to uphold high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide guidance and support to resolve on-site challenges and operational issues.
Supervise team performance and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
Promote a workplace culture centered on safety, health, and cleanliness
Associate Degree in Construction Management or similar field, or a Journeyman status in a building trade, or a combination of high school diploma with relevant experience and related certifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry on complex projects
Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
Experience with self-perform
Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
Must be capable of reading and comprehending blueprints and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial projects.
Ability to develop Relationships with key stakeholder, such as owners, subcontractors, project managers, field employees
Solid understanding of project cost analysis.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry

Work on a variety of education, institutional and municipal construction projects throughout Minneapolis. Our client is an established design-build general contractor who is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Project Manager to help oversee these projects and their teams.

Our client, a well-established Design-Build General Contractor and Construction Management firm headquartered in Minneapolis, has been a trusted leader in the construction industry for over six decades. With a strong focus on educational and municipal projects, they are recognized for fostering a collaborative team culture and maintaining enduring partnerships with local municipalities and clients. They are currently looking to add a seasoned Senior Project Manager to their team-someone who will lead key education and municipal initiatives while guiding and developing a skilled group of Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Managers.
Description
