Superintendent - Aviation Construction

The Superintendent - Aviation Construction will oversee and manage all aspects of aviation construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to effectively manage teams and schedules.

Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations of aviation construction projects, ensuring compliance with schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee on-site construction activities and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Maintain and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead and mentor on-site teams to maximize productivity and performance.

Profile

A successful Superintendent - Aviation Construction should have:

Job Requirements:

Experience & Background

Minimum 5-10 years of construction supervision, with emphasis on aviation or large-scale commercial projects.

Proven track record managing complex builds from ground-up through closeout.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.

Technical Skills

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Proficiency with project management software and digital reporting tools.

Skilled in coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to meet deadlines.

Leadership & Communication

Excellent team leadership, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.

Strong communication abilities to interface with clients, design teams, and stakeholders.

Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability on site.

Other Requirements

Willingness to work on fast-paced, high-profile projects in the Dallas area.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing project demands and schedules.

OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
