This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for a high volume of commercial construction bids, with a strong focus on drywall scopes. You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated preconstruction team while playing a key role in winning and shaping upcoming projects.

- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using On-Screen Takeoff software for commercial projects
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and bid documents
- Develop written proposals and competitive bids across drywall and related scopes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local material, labour and equipment costs
- Ensure compliance with local, city and state building codes
- Manage and mentor junior estimators and project engineers to support team development
- Continuously expand knowledge across drywall, acoustical systems, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10)
- Collaborate closely with operations and preconstruction leadership on bid strategy
Profile
- Proven estimating experience on large-scale commercial projects (ideally $20M+)
- Strong background in drywall estimating; masonry experience a plus
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
- Open to candidates from specialty subcontractors or general contractors
- Residential experience considered only if paired with commercial estimating work
- Ability to work fully in-office in Beltsville, MD
