Construction Safety Manager - Healthcare and Lab work in Boston

Description

  • Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, local, and federal regulations
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct and coordinate safety training programs, toolbox talks, and new employee safety orientations.
  • Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability of safety gear.
  • Maintain all safety documentation and records, including incident logs, inspection reports, and training records.
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to promote safe practices.
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for all health and safety concerns or emergencies.
  • Stay current with new safety regulations and industry trends.

Profile

  • 5-7+ years years of Superintendent experience (running projects start to finish as the lead)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related preferred (or relevant experience)
  • Project experience in one of their core markets: healthcare, life science or higher education
  • Experience working locally around Boston preferred
  • Ability to lead safety meetings and influence a safety-first culture
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software/tools
