As a Heavy Highway Project Manager / Superintendent, you'll play a critical leadership role in planning, managing, and overseeing the successful execution of heavy highway projects from start to finish. You'll be responsible for managing field operations, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, safety, and quality control to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Description
As a Heavy Highway Project Manager / Superintendentt you will...
Lead all phases of heavy highway projects including planning, execution, and closeout
Manage building and construction project budgets, change orders, schedules, and procurement in Rochester, New York
Supervise field operations and coordinate subcontractors and crews
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
Conduct regular site meetings and progress reports
Collaborate with clients, engineers, and inspectors to resolve issues
Monitor and ensure quality control across all aspects of the project
Maintain project documentation and reporting
Profile
5+ years of experience in heavy civil/heavy highway construction as a Heavy Highway Project Manager / Superintendent
Proven track record managing multi-million dollar DOT and roadway projects
Strong knowledge of grading, paving, drainage, utilities, and structures
Experience with building and construction project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
