Description
The Owners Project Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring the project aligns with the owner's goals, budget, and vision.
- Serving as the primary liaison between the owner, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project participants.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, identifying critical milestones and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Establishing, tracking, and managing project budgets, including cost estimating, tracking, and reporting.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and challenges proactively.
- Ensuring project work meets quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Managing changes to the project scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Conducting site visits, observing progress, and verifying that construction activities meet project requirements.
- Evaluating contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications.
- Providing regular project updates, progress reports, and financial summaries to the owner.
Profile
The right Owners Project Manager has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, or related field preferred
- 7-10+ years of experience (as a PM)
- Project experience within life science, healthcare, government, or general commercial
- Experience managing projects $5M+ in value
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects
- Strong literacy of Bluebeam and Smartsheets (preferred)
- Strong communication and client facing skills
