Senior Project Manager - MultiFamily
The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of multi-family construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can manage internal teams, external partners, and project stakeholders to deliver exceptional results on time and within budget.

A rapidly growing, vertically integrated real estate developer and general contractor based in downtown Chicago is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale multi-family residential projects. With several major developments recently secured, this is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a construction professional ready to take ownership of complex, high-profile urban projects.
Description
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multi-family residential construction projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with internal development, design, and construction teams to ensure alignment across all phases.
- Oversee subcontractor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and municipal agencies.
- Mentor and develop junior project managers and field staff.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and proactively resolve issues.
Profile
- 8+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong focus on multi-family or mixed-use developments.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, urban construction projects on time and within budget.
- Deep understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery models.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
