Client Details
Founded in 1996 with 27 years in business, this high-growth construction company specializes in publicly bid commercial construction projects throughout Massachusetts. Over the past five years, the company has significantly increased project volume, expanded business to new markets (working with private clients), and nearly doubled its workforce. It has an office management team responsible for the procurement, administration, and management of projects. Furthermore, it maintains an on-site superintendent team and an in-house field carpentry team that executes various tasks ranging from demolition to finish carpentry.
Description
The Construction Superintendent - Public Renovation Projects - North Shore will be responsible for:
- Project Oversight: Supervise all phases of construction from planning to completion to ensure work is progressing according to schedule and specifications.

Team Management: Coordinate and manage on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity and job quality. -
Scheduling: Create, adjust, and maintain project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met without delays. -
Quality Control: Inspect work regularly to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project plans. -
Safety Enforcement: Enforce site safety protocols and conduct safety meetings to prevent accidents and ensure OSHA compliance. -
Material Management: Order materials, track inventory, and ensure timely delivery of supplies needed for construction phases. -
Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues quickly to prevent project delays or cost overruns. -
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between field staff, project managers, and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent updates. -
Documentation: Maintain daily logs, site reports, and documentation of work progress, delays, weather conditions, and incidents. -
Budget Oversight: Monitor costs on-site to keep the project within budget and avoid unnecessary expenditures.

In return for a generous compensation package, the successful candidates will possess the following:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent
- General Contractor experience, public renovation experience
- Project background in Public Work
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects
- Strong literacy of MS Office, Procore, Etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
