Quality Engineer - Automotive Manufacturer | Bolingbrook, IL
My client is a global industrial manufacturer and they are looking to bring on a Quality Engineer with a background in the automotive industry and with experience with IATF 16949. The Quality Engineer will assist the Director of Quality in achieving an IATF 16949 certification and will be one of the first members of a growing team.

My client is a global industrial manufacturer headquartered in Europe. They are expanding their existing presence in North America and are growing their Bolingbrook facility and quality department. Description
- Develop and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Perform regular audits and inspections to identify nonconformities and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with manufacturing teams to implement and refine quality control procedures.
- Analyze inspection and test data to support data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on quality performance metrics for management review.
- Lead initiatives focused on improving product quality, process efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality systems, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor and stay current with evolving industry regulations, standards, and certification requirements.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Automotive background
- Understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
- Core tool experience - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.
- Data analysis experience - SPC, Capability studies, Gage R&R, etc.
- Background in metals preferred
- Sponsorship not provided
Job Offer
- Base salary $80,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
- 2 weeks PTO
