Quality Engineer II - Manufacturing - Chicopee, MA
Client Details
This organization is a growing, North American manufacturing leader known for precision, complex builds, and operational excellence. They support mission‑critical products across demanding industries and invest heavily in quality, process improvement, and modern manufacturing capabilities.Description
- Design, implement, and maintain process control systems, including SPC and inspection methods
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 5 Whys, 8D, and Fishbone methodologies
- Manage CAPA activities to ensure timely, effective resolution of quality issues
- Support APQP efforts to validate new and existing products and processes
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards (ISO 13485 exposure preferred)
- Develop, track, and report on key quality metrics
- Partner with engineering on FMEA, DOE, DFM, GD&T, and process capability improvements
- Participate in MRB activities and support failure analysis and disposition decisions
- Support quality training initiatives, including blueprint reading and onboarding
Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environmen
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and inspection methods
- Hands‑on experience with quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and statistical analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; CQE or similar certification a plus
- CMM and PC-DMIS experieince required
