Travelling Superintendent

A Chattanooga‑based GC is seeking a Travelling Superintendent to oversee fast‑paced Kroger remodels across the Southeast. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven field leader who excels in occupied remodel environments, tight schedules, and rapid‑turnaround delivery. You'll serve as the on‑site authority ensuring safety, quality, logistics, and subcontractor performance on multi‑state retail remodel projects.

A reputable and well‑organized general contractor headquartered in Chattanooga, specializing almost exclusively in Kroger remodels throughout Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, and surrounding states. They offer steady workflow, consistent travel-based assignments, and strong operational support for superintendents working on the road.

Description

• Lead all on‑site activities for travelling retail remodel projects
• Oversee subcontractors, scheduling, phasing, safety, and daily operations
• Manage logistics in occupied/operational store environments
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers and store leadership
• Conduct daily reporting and ensure all work meets plans and specifications
• Drive projects to completion on time, within scope, and within budget

Profile

• 3-5+ years of Superintendent experience with retail remodels preferred
• Experience with grocery store remodels or fast‑paced interior renovations is a strong plus
• Ability to travel continuously across the Southeast
• Strong skills in scheduling, subcontractor oversight, and site documentation
• Excellent communication skills when interacting with internal teams and store staff
• OSHA 30 preferred
