The Tool Room Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the tool room, ensuring that tools, molds, and equipment are properly maintained, repaired, and organized. They will manage a team, coordinate workflow, and ensure that all tools and machinery meet safety and quality standards to support efficient production processes.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Build, modify, and repair a wide variety of assembly equipment, mold components, fixtures, and gauges with a focus on precision and attention to detail.
- Create prototypes as needed, referencing models and drawings.
- Ensure strict adherence to design specifications and quality control standards through thorough inspection processes.
- Operate a range of measuring instruments, such as gauges, calipers, and templates, as required.
- Provide accurate time estimates for mold fabrication and repair projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or challenges.
- Offer leadership and support to tool room associates.
- Contribute to Project Teams and Cross-Functional Teams as required.
- Carry out other assigned tasks as necessary.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- A technical degree or certification in tooling (AND) 8+ years of experience in injection mold fabrication (OR) an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- Expertise in interpreting article drawings or models and converting them into practical injection mold designs.
- Skilled in independently fabricating components from detailed drawings or models.
- Ability to recommend design improvements to enhance the performance and lifespan of injection molds.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for design and manufacturing tasks.
- Strong ability to mentor and train Mold Maker B's & C's, encouraging teamwork and skill development.
- Proficiency with computer systems, CNC, EDM, CAM software (e.g., Mastercam), conventional machinery, and adherence to safety standards.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 70 lbs regularly, with or without accommodation.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive movements such as reaching, stretching, lifting, and twisting.
