Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - Richmond,VA
Our client, a well-established general contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a $30M ground-up multifamily project in Richmond, VA. This role is critical to securing a long-term partnership with the developer, and the company is looking to hire immediately to meet a March 21st decision deadline.

With 60 years in business, our client is a self-performing, design/build general contractor specializing in hospitality, commercial, multifamily, and industrial projects. Operating primarily in Central Virginia, the company prides itself on its family-oriented culture, commitment to quality, and deep-rooted client relationships.
Description
- Oversee all aspects of the $30M ground-up multifamily project, ensuring it is completed on budget and on schedule.
- Select and manage subcontractors, ensuring high-quality work while controlling costs.
- Work closely with the preconstruction team to refine estimates and manage project planning.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and maintain compliance.
- Collaborate with the development team, architects, and engineers to troubleshoot design and construction challenges.
- Utilize Procore and Microsoft Office to track project documentation, schedules, and budgets.
- Report directly to the Vice President
Profile
- 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on ground-up multifamily projects.
- Recent experience managing at least three multifamily projects valued at $15M+.
- Senior Project Managers open to a PM role will be considered.
- Strong ability to select and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Preconstruction or estimating experience is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and budget-conscious.
