Senior Estimator- Commercial Construction
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing Fort Lauderdale-based General Contractor specializing in commercial construction. This role will play a pivotal part in preconstruction by managing estimates for complex projects across sectors like office, retail, K-12, and light industrial.

Their portfolio includes office buildings, retail centers, medical facilities, and mixed-use developments. With a collaborative leadership team and a strong pipeline of negotiated work, they offer a stable, growth-oriented environment for seasoned professionals.
Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects at all phases (conceptual through final bid).
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers during preconstruction.
Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring accurate scope and pricing.
Conduct quantity takeoffs, value engineering, and risk analysis.
Lead bid proposals and participate in presentations for negotiated work.
Maintain historical cost data and stay updated on market trends and pricing.
Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating procedures.
Profile
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of commercial estimating experience with a general contractor, preferably in South Florida. A strong background in ground-up and interior commercial construction is required. Proficiency in estimating software (such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or Sage Estimating) and excellent analytical and communication skills are essential. The candidate should be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Job Offer
Competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 - $160,000, depending on experience
