LEAN Engineer - Manufacturing - McDonough, GA

Description

This role will report directly into the Plant Manager and be responsible for:

• Designing and analyzing efficient workflows and production systems
• Conducting time and motion studies to identify opportunities for labor optimization and waste reduction
• Developing and implementing strategies to balance productivity, quality, and cost
• Collaborating with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to streamline operations
• Identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives across people, equipment, materials, and processes
• Evaluating facility layouts, material flow, and labor utilization for efficiency gains
• Establishing and tracking key performance metrics to measure progress and results
• Partnering with leadership to design scalable systems that support sustainable growth

Profile

The successful candidate will have

• 2-5+ years of process improvement in a LEAN manufacturing environment
• ERP/ MRP system and production planning familiarity
• Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodology experience
• Material handling and facility layout optimization skills a plus
