Plant Manager - Manufacturing - McDonough, GA
The Plant Manager is leading daily operations, driving transformation, and ensuring top-tier manufacturing performance at the Georgia facility. This person is serving as both a strategic and hands-on leader - improving productivity, safety, quality, and engagement while building a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

My client is an established manufacturer known for producing high-quality equipment solutions trusted by professionals around the world. Their Georgia plant is a key production site driving operational excellence and innovation across their global network.
Description
This role will report directly into the Director of Operations and be responsible for:
- Overseeing all daily plant operations to ensure efficient use of people, equipment, and materials.
- Leading organizational turnaround through structured systems, metrics, and accountability.
- Championing change management initiatives to build engagement and ownership across teams.
- Developing and executing strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to align on objectives.
- Monitoring KPIs and performance data, identifying gaps, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Building and developing a high-performing team, strengthening leadership and culture.
- Managing budgets, resources, and production schedules to meet operational and customer targets.
- Driving Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile
The successful candidate will have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, including plant-level management.
- Proven success leading change and turnaround efforts in production environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on team development.
- Demonstrated ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term strategic goals.
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and full operational performance.
