Project Engineer-Manufacturing- Exeter, NH

The Project Engineer will oversee both Project Management and Engineering aspects of high-specification projects, ensuring successful completion through coordination with various teams and clients. Key responsibilities include mechanical and electrical design coordination, project scheduling, and managing client communications while utilizing CAD software and the company's ERP system.

Description

  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical design, along with programming for various projects.
  • Perform occasional modeling and drafting using PTC Creo.
  • Research and specify components to meet system requirements.
  • Review specifications to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.
  • Address department-related nonconformances when necessary.
  • Manage complex projects for key clients, government agencies, and classified programs.
  • Develop design verification documentation required by quality programs.
  • Meet with clients to define and clarify objectives and deliverables per contract specifications.
  • Create and manage project schedules, including key milestones and critical path tasks.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team across production, electrical, service, quality, and sales departments.
  • Communicate key dates and activities efficiently to ensure project success.
  • Follow up on action items assigned to team members to confirm completion and accuracy.
  • Learn and understand the functionality of the company's ERP system (Navision).
  • Escalate potential issues in a timely manner to mitigate schedule delays.
  • Attend department meetings to present detailed project information to management.
  • Support the sales team during the quotation phase, including job costing and project timeline creation.
  • Enter drawing packages into the ERP system to generate the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure quotes for custom and purchased parts, selecting the best options for fabrication.
  • Create and communicate installation requirements to clients.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Profile

  • Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably PTC Creo.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings.
  • Experience with gas handling equipment, HVAC machinery, or gas process piping/tubing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, piping, and electro-mechanical automation systems preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing procedures, processes, materials, and finishes.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of P&ID is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • US Citizenship required due to federal contracts.
