We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager specializing in data center solutions. This remote role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving growth, building client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions within the data center industry.

Description

  • Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities within the data center sector, focusing on cooling technologies.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the cooling and data center industry.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including data center operators, construction firms, and technology partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert advice on cooling solutions tailored to their specific requirements.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Understand and communicate the benefits of various cooling technologies (e.g., liquid cooling, air cooling, hybrid solutions) to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and propose customized cooling solutions for data center clients.
  • Stay updated on advancements in cooling technologies and industry best practices to advise clients on the most efficient solutions.

Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the data center, HVAC, or energy sectors.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cooling systems and their application in data centers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with large-scale data center projects.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and sustainable cooling practices.
  • Established network of contacts within the data center cooling industry.
  • Must be willing/able to travel up to 25%. Some international travel is required.

Job Offer

  • $140,000 - $160,000 base salary
  • Annual, performance based bonus which is uncapped.
  • Healthcare, vision, dental insurance plans.
  • 401K with employer match.
  • Location: US with preference for North Virginia, Phoenix (AZ), San Fransisco (CA). Can be remote.
