Senior Estimator/Preconstruction Manager - Hanover, MD
Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator/Preconstruction Manager to join their growing team. This role is critical in supporting their mission to deliver high-quality construction projects while exceeding client expectations. This candidate will lead preconstruction efforts for projects throughout the DMV region, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost management, and successful collaboration with internal and external teams.

Description
Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for a variety of commercial projects, including multifamily, TI, education, entertainment, and data centers.
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
Collaborate with project management teams to develop budgets and schedules that align with client expectations and project requirements.
Analyze project documents, specifications, and addenda to identify scope and risk factors.
Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing, ensuring competitive and comprehensive bids.
Conduct value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
Support contract negotiations by providing detailed cost breakdowns and supporting data.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in estimating and preconstruction management within the commercial construction industry.
Proven expertise in project estimating across multiple sectors, including multifamily, education, and tenant improvement.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or On-Screen Takeoff.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams effectively.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering precise and reliable estimates.
