Description
The key responsibilities of the Field Service Technician are:
- Install & Commission Equipment - Set up and configure advanced continuous mixing systems and related capital equipment for optimal performance.
- Perform Maintenance & Troubleshooting - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency.
- Provide Technical Training & Support - Educate customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure long-term reliability.
- Collaborate with Engineering & Sales Teams - Offer technical feedback to improve product design and functionality based on field insights.
- Extensive Travel Opportunities - Travel up to 70% nationwide and internationally to customer sites, supporting equipment installation and maintenance.
- Document & Report Service Activities - Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs, and recommendations for internal and customer reference.
Profile
The successful Field Service Technician will have the following:
- Hands-On Mechanical & Electrical Expertise - Skilled in troubleshooting capital equipment, with experience using calipers, multimeters, and measurement tools.
- PLC Knowledge Preferred - Ability to diagnose and work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system automation and efficiency.
- Field Service & Travel Readiness - Willing to travel up to 70% nationwide and internationally to install, maintain, and repair advanced polymer processing equipment.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills - Capable of identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to optimize equipment performance.
- Customer-Focused & Team-Oriented - Excellent communication skills to provide technical training and support while collaborating with internal teams.
