My client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support new product development and drive innovation in electrical design. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design products that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals - while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Their products include fuses, surge protection, and components used in high-performance and safety-critical applications.

Description

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:

• Leading electrical design efforts for new products and supporting improvements to existing ones.
• Collaborating with Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve issues and meet project objectives.
• Developing and maintaining product performance data, including characteristic curves.
• Participating in special engineering projects, process development, and documentation.
• Representing the company on industry panels (e.g., NEMA, IEEE, NEC) as needed.
• Providing engineering support across multiple locations when required.

Profile

A successful Electrical Engineer should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with circuit protection, power generation/distribution systems, and power electronics.
• Experience with electrical and thermal simulation tools.
• Knowledge of NEC/CEC standards and low/medium voltage system design.
• Proficiency in SKM or similar software for load calculations and coordination studies.
• Hands-on, creative problem-solver with project management experience.
• Comfortable working in lab environments (high/low voltage, environmental testing).
• Understanding of safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC).
