Electrical Engineer - Electrical Power - Newbury, MA
My client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support new product development and drive innovation in electrical design. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design products that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goals - while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

My client is a global organization that designs and manufactures solutions for electrical power and advanced materials, serving industries like energy, transportation, electronics, and chemical processing. Their products include fuses, surge protection, and components used in high-performance and safety-critical applications.
Description
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:
- Leading electrical design efforts for new products and supporting improvements to existing ones.
- Collaborating with Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve issues and meet project objectives.
- Developing and maintaining product performance data, including characteristic curves.
- Participating in special engineering projects, process development, and documentation.
- Representing the company on industry panels (e.g., NEMA, IEEE, NEC) as needed.
- Providing engineering support across multiple locations when required.
Profile
A successful Electrical Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Familiarity with circuit protection, power generation/distribution systems, and power electronics.
- Experience with electrical and thermal simulation tools.
- Knowledge of NEC/CEC standards and low/medium voltage system design.
- Proficiency in SKM or similar software for load calculations and coordination studies.
- Hands-on, creative problem-solver with project management experience.
- Comfortable working in lab environments (high/low voltage, environmental testing).
- Understanding of safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC).
Job Offer
