Territory Sales Manager - Packaging - Dallas

The Territory Sales Manager in Dallas will support the company's sales efforts and handle all activities related to sales from lead generation through closing within an assigned territory. The role works alongside the sales and support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and achievement of long-term account objectives in alignment with the company's values and mission.

Description

  • Develop and manage both new and existing customer relationships, working to meet or exceed monthly sales goals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Operations Director to create and implement a sales plan for the year, outlining key activities to meet sales targets.
  • Demonstrate products to potential clients, highlighting key features using samples or catalogs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of pricing structures and proposal development.
  • Collect and submit detailed business information to support pricing, proposals, and solutions for customer needs.
  • Keep accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including calls, meetings, closed deals, and follow-ups, using a CRM system.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market changes, recording this information within the CRM.
  • Prepare quotes, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts for closed deals.
  • Estimate delivery dates based on company production and scheduling capabilities.
  • Communicate any changes in product demand to the appropriate business support teams.
  • Utilize company resources to address challenges and create innovative packaging or product solutions.
  • Follow company guidelines and uphold professional conduct that reflects the company's values.
  • Actively contribute to sales meetings, sharing insights and experiences from the territory.
  • Travel as needed within the territory to maintain relationships with existing clients, acquire new business, and drive territory growth.
  • Attend industry trade shows.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Cultivate strong customer and vendor relationships, with a focus on problem-solving and maintaining a competitive edge to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of territory sales manager experience, with 2+ years of experience in a related industrial field preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of customer dynamics and market needs.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to travel with a valid driving record.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor to positively represent the company.
