Description

The Estimator - Top Multifamily GC - Richmond, VA will have the following responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for multifamily construction projects, considering materials, labor, and subcontractor bids.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering plans.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish and monitor project budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, budgets, and change orders.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Stay updated on industry trends and material prices to enhance estimating accuracy.

Profile

The Estimator - Top Multifamily GC - Richmond, VA will have:

• At least 2 years of experience as an estimator with a general contractor, specifically in multifamily projects.
• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field preferred.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
