An Assistant Construction Superintendent assists and supports the management of the day-to-day operations on a construction site - this individual also plays a crucial role in supporting the superintendent and ensuring the project progresses smoothly and efficiently.

Description

  1. Site Coordination: Assisting with coordinating on-site activities, ensuring the project runs smoothly and according to the construction schedule.

  2. Team Support: Helping manage and direct the workforce, including laborers and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

  3. Safety Compliance: Assisting in enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.

  4. Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of work and materials, ensuring they meet the project's specifications and industry standards.

  5. Scheduling Assistance: Supporting the superintendent in developing, updating, and maintaining the construction schedule, ensuring deadlines are met.

  6. Material and Equipment Management: Overseeing the availability and delivery of materials and equipment to the site, ensuring that they are used efficiently.

  7. Documentation and Reporting: Assisting with maintaining project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and any necessary paperwork for permits and inspections.

  8. Problem Solving: Helping to resolve issues that arise on-site, including delays, labor shortages, or other challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the project.

  9. Communication: Acting as a liaison between the construction superintendent, crew members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.

  10. Inspection Assistance: Assisting with inspections and ensuring work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.



Profile

  • Experience Required: 3-7 yrs of transferable experience as a Construction Super.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 + OSHA 30.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficient in Procore + all Microsoft Applications.
  • Education: Preferrably has a degree in a Construciton-related field.
