Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily - Charlottesville, VA

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our client's construction team in Charlottesville, VA. This role will support the Project Manager on a large scale multifamily development project. The APM will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of this high-profile development, from pre-construction through project completion.

Description

• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction, including planning, scheduling, and execution.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

• Monitor project progress, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Participate in procurement and contract negotiations, reviewing scopes of work and ensuring project alignment.

• Support issue resolution by identifying risks and implementing proactive solutions.

• Maintain detailed project records and provide regular progress reports to senior leadership.

Profile

• 3+ years of experience managing ground-up construction projects (multifamily experience preferred but not required).

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse project teams.

• A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
