Job Requirements of Commercial Construction Project Engineer:
To secure this position, you will be a driven and motivated construction professional with previous experience working on commercial, industrial or multifamily projects.The successful Project Engineer:
1-2 years of experience working in the commercial construction industry
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, civil engineering or a related field
Manage administrative construction duties, including document control
Prepare submittal schedules for approval and distribution
Assist the Project Manager with change orders, subcontractor scheduling and invoicing, reviewing monthly job costs
Assist the Superintendent with RFI reports, QA/QC documentation, and construction field operations
Assist with preconstruction tasks, including estimating and quantification
Collect and log closeout documents and punch lists

Commercial Construction Project Engineer

Client Details
Our client is a top general contractor located in downtown Indianapolis, their primary project focus is on healthcare, light industrial and tenant interiors construction projects. Due to a strong pipeline, they are immediately seeking the appointment of an experienced and driven construction project engineer to help lead multiple projects across the Indianapolis area with the project manager.
Description
- Contacting subcontractors and vendors during bid process
- Project scope of work development
- Project planning and implementation of activities
- Document management and logging including safety documentation, submittals, drawing logs, RFIs, transmittals, close out documents, meeting minutes
- Subcontractor and superintendent coordination
- Travel to job sites as required by PM and/or superintendents
Profile

Job Offer
On offer for a Project Engineer:
- Competitive base salary between $65,000 and $80,000, depending on level of experience
