We are partnered up with a growing Manufacturing Company in their search to add an EHS Manager to the team. This position will report into the Plant Manager and will be responsible for a 250 employee plant. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Description
The EHS Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Provide leadership and guidance to EHS team members, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and engineering, to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of the business.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, promoting awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure emergency response plans are current, well-communicated, and effectively implemented.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in EHS management.
Profile
The ideal EHS Manager - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the Chemical, Aerospace, Medical Device, Food & Beverage, or general Manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, etc.).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs and policies.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certification in EHS management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Offer
The successful EHS Manager - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience
- Bonus
