Sr. Estimator - Concrete & Masonry (Atlanta, GA)
The Sr. Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates and project proposals to support team as a subcontractor partner on projects joint with reputable local general contractors in the commercial, multifamily and light industrial space. This is an office based role with 1-2 days hybrid availability after the first 3 months in the business. The ideal candidate has 4+ years experience estimating and experience with on-screen takeoff.
Client Details
The company is a small-sized organization with 35 people currently averaging around $55M in annual revenue. Preferred local concrete subcontractor for over 20+ General Contractors in the Atlanta market. The Senior Estimator would report directly to the VP of Estimating and play a strategic part in the companies growth.
Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project proposals and budgets.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements.
- Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accurate pricing information.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Review and analyze project bids for accuracy and feasibility.
- Provide input on value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Profile
A successful Sr. Estimator should have:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimating techniques.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Job Offer
