Senior Superintendent - Multi-Family Projects
Client Details
Our client is a respected and well-established multi-family and mixed-use builder with a strong presence in the Chicago market. Known for delivering high-density residential developments, they are committed to quality, safety, and operational excellence. As their project pipeline continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to take on a leadership role across active job sites.Description
- Lead onsite operations for major multi-family projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule milestones.
- Oversee, support, and mentor other superintendents, assistant supers, and field personnel.
- Develop and maintain the master schedule, including detailed 3-week look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, trades, and project management teams.
- Conduct regular site walks, quality checks, and safety audits.
- Facilitate progress meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve field conflicts proactively to prevent delays or cost impacts.
- Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and compliance records.
- Ensure projects adhere to specifications, drawings, and building codes.
Profile
- 10+ years of superintendent experience, including 5+ years in multi-family construction.
- Prior experience successfully leading large, complex residential jobs in urban environments.
- Strong mastery of scheduling tools and methodologies, including master schedules and 3-week look-aheads.
- Proven experience leading other superintendents or field teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts.
- Thorough understanding of building systems, vertical construction, and multi-family sequencing.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and calm under pressure.
Job Offer
- Base salary: $135,000-$155,000
