Project Manager - Luxury Multifamily Builds
Seeking a PM with cradle to grave experience on large scale construction projects, including $30M+ multifamily, senior living, or LIHTC developments. This role requires strong preconstruction involvement, project buyout experience, wood-frame knowledge, and a safety focused approach to delivering high quality projects.
Client Details
Our client operates through three divisions covering development and preconstruction, multifamily construction, and a single-family design/build arm. With a team of about 20 employees, they focus primarily on multifamily and mixed-use projects averaging around $35M and typically have 3-4 projects under construction at any given time, with most work concentrated on the north side of Indianapolis in Hamilton County.
The company is actively expanding its pipeline as it takes on more multifamily and mixed-use developments, while also beginning to explore smaller commercial opportunities. Description
- Manage projects cradle-to-grave, from preconstruction through closeout
- Lead preconstruction efforts from project inception
- Oversee project buyout and subcontractor procurement
- Coordinate and manage land development and civil scopes on large projects
- Manage large-scale construction projects up to $80M
- Lead execution of $30M+ multifamily projects (senior living and LIHTC experience also considered)
- Oversee wood-frame construction, with flexibility for candidates from complex commercial projects
- Maintain high construction standards and attention to detail without cutting corners
- Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture on site
- Coordinate project teams, schedules, budgets, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the multifamily space as a Project Manager leading projects.
- Demonstrated ability to direct, organize, and communicate with people of all levels and personalities.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, blueprints, construction project schedules, and scopes of work.
- Ability to successfully manage moderately complex projects.
