Once residential-focused, they now handle 90% commercial work, including mixed-use buildings, college facilities, and high-end homes. Projects typically range from $5M to $20M.

Description

The Estimator - Western Massachusetts - Commercial will be responsible for:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for all project phases, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to clarify project needs and refine estimates.
• Research and source pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive bids.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids for accuracy and alignment with project goals.
• Update and adjust cost projections based on project changes or unforeseen conditions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of estimates, bids, and project costs for reporting and compliance.
• Contribute to value engineering by identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Profile

The Estimator - Western Massachusetts - Commercial should have:

• 4+ years of Estimating experience on commercial projects
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
• Excellent analytical skills for preparing accurate bids, budgets, and cost projections.
• Skilled in coordinating with clients, architects, and subcontractors to align estimates with project requirements.
• Proficient in using estimating software and tools to develop detailed and competitive proposals.
• Be commutable to the Springfield area daily
