My client is looking for a BIM Coordinator to join their team based out of Warrenton, VA. My Client is a leading 8A contractor with over 15 years of expertise in underground utility installations, specializing in trenchless methods for the data center and power plant sectors.

Located in Warrenton, VA, My Client partners with renowned companies such as Whiting Turner, HITT, EE Reed, Hensel Phelps, Turner, and DPR. With a dedicated team of 15+ employees, including professionals in estimating, project management, and field operations, they focus on delivering exceptional results while growing together as a team.

Description

As the BIM Coordinator/Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for all BIM-related workflows, working cross-functionally with design, engineering, and construction teams. You'll establish standards, integrate models, and provide training and support as you develop a scalable, effective BIM strategy tailored to complex underground utility work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement company-wide BIM processes, workflows, and standards
  • Manage and maintain model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle, including final as-built models at close-out
  • Oversee integration of 3D models across all disciplines; ensure consistency and accurate coordination
  • Conduct clash detection and lead resolution efforts early in the design process
  • Organize and facilitate BIM coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, naming conventions, and file standards
  • Provide troubleshooting and day-to-day support for project teams using BIM tools
  • Conduct QA/QC on models to verify accuracy, completeness, and constructability
  • Extract data from models for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and scheduling support
  • Stay current with BIM advancements and recommend improvements to tools and workflows

Profile

You are someone who:

  • Has 5+ years of experience with BIM in the AEC or utility space
  • Is highly proficient in Revit (required); experience with BIM 360 and Bluebeam is a strong plus
  • Understands construction workflows, especially in infrastructure or utility sectors
  • Can lead BIM coordination meetings and translate between design, engineering, and construction teams
  • Is proactive, solution-oriented, and thrives in an evolving and fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys building systems, training others, and leading organizational change
  • Has strong attention to detail, with a passion for quality and model integrity
  • Is motivated to grow with a company and help shape its digital delivery standards
