BIM Coordinator - Underground Utilities

$80,000 - $105,000/Year

As the BIM Coordinator, you'll lead all modeling and coordination efforts for underground utility projects, ensuring accuracy, clash detection, and alignment across disciplines. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to build out BIM processes, support project planning, and drive technology adoption company-wide.

Description

  • Develop, manage, and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for underground utility installations

  • Coordinate models across all trades, perform clash detection, and facilitate resolution

  • Implement and uphold company BIM standards, templates, and project-specific execution plans

  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams through regular BIM coordination meetings

  • Deliver as-built models and close-out documentation

  • Extract data from models for quantity take-offs, scheduling, and estimating

  • Provide technical support and software training to internal teams

  • Conduct regular quality control checks and troubleshoot model issues

  • Recommend improvements to tools and workflows based on BIM best practices

Profile

  • Proficiency in Revit (required); experience with BIM 360, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus

  • 3+ years of experience in a BIM coordination or modeling role, preferably in civil or utility infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of BIM execution plans, construction workflows, and model coordination

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of BIM-related initiatives

  • Passion for process improvement and technology integration
