Description
The Superintendent - K-12 & Commercial Construction | Wash, DC will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all phases of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with plans, specifications, and timelines
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain clear and consistent communication
- Leading on-site construction teams by fostering a productive, respectful, and safety-focused work environment
- Demonstrating expertise across various project types including K-12, healthcare, higher education, multifamily, libraries, and office spaces
- Managing subcontractor performance and schedules, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are being met
- Upholding company values and setting a strong example through professional site presence and leadership
- Identifying and resolving potential project risks, safety concerns, and construction challenges proactively
- Maintaining thorough project documentation including progress updates, safety records, and quality control logs
Profile
The Superintendent - K-12 & Commercial Construction | Wash, DC will have:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry
- A proven track record overseeing diverse projects, including healthcare, higher education, K-12 schools, libraries, multifamily, and office spaces
- Experience managing ground-up construction projects from inception to completion
- A strong background in general contracting operations
- Proficiency in coordinating and managing subcontractors effectively
- Excellent leadership skills with success in supervising on-site construction teams
- A thorough understanding of construction plans, specifications, and industry best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with all project stakeholders
- A demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and community engagement
- The ability to navigate challenges and resolve problems proactively and efficiently
- Experience with projects that reflect the company's values and focus on community impact (preferred)
Job Offer
The Superintendent - K-12 & Commercial Construction | Wash, DC will receive:
- Competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $135,000 USD, commensurate with experience
- Performance-based bonus structure
