Lead Superintendent - $200M + Commercial Projects

The Lead Superintendent is responsible for taking Ground Up and Renovation projects from start to TCO. On average these projects range in size from $100M to $250M within the educational, transportation and healthcare sector (both private and public).

Description

• Manage day-to-day activities to meet project milestones and ultimately meet or beat project completion date.
• Develop Master Schedule for project
• Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
• Has knowledge and experience with other trades scope of work.
• Maintain daily and weekly logs of construction progress and being responsible for 2 to 3 week look aheads
• Maintain jobsite safety, health and cleanliness
• Daily inspection of construction site to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations.
• Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to produce constructability issues and plan coordination problems prior to beginning construction of the project.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, subcontractors, and clients
• Ensure project documentation and reports are complete
• Attend all necessary jobsite meetings

Profile

• 20+ years or large ground up construction project experience
• Advance knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
• Experienced with large commercial projects $100M+ (REQUIRED)
• Tilt-wall Experience (PREFERRED)
• Successful completion of projects in Miami Dade County
• Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.
• Capacity to motivate, lead and mentor superintendents
• Competent in conflict and crisis management
• Knowledge and experience with software like Procore or CMiC
• 4 year technical degree preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish
