The Chief Accounting Officer - Manufacturing - Remote position will lead the Accounting Function for an expanding manufacturing company. Based in the United States (Miami, FL) this company has a global presence. This role will partner daily with CFO and other key Executive Stakeholders to ensure strategic financial goals are met. Description

• Define and implement global accounting, control, and tax strategies aligned with business objectives, serving as a strategic partner to the CFO on financial risk, compliance, and technical accounting matters.
• Oversee timely, accurate financial reporting and close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, local statutory standards, and internal controls, while leading the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and investor communications.
• Develop and maintain a robust global control framework to mitigate financial and operational risks, ensuring alignment with internal policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
• Oversee global tax planning, compliance, and reporting, including tax accounting, corporate returns, and adherence to local and international tax regulations.
• Drive continuous process improvements in accounting operations through AI and other tools, supporting ERP enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Chair the internal disclosure committee and deliver timely, relevant updates to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining transparency and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a globally distributed team of accounting and tax professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-integrity culture with strong succession planning and talent development.
• Serve as a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, engaging with senior leaders, auditors, and external authorities to align financial strategy with enterprise goals while maintaining independence in decision-making.

Profile

• CPA required
• MBA in Finance or equivalent advanced degree is considered a plus.
• Tenure in public accounting strongly preferred - ideally with manufacturing client base
• 15 - 20 years of progressive financial leadership in tenure in the manufacturing industry sector
• Proven track record partnering with executive teams, boards, regulators, and auditors. Provides timely and meaningful counsel.
• Demonstrated success in building and leading accounting and tax teams in complex, matrixed environments.
• Language skills - fluency in English essential, Spanish nice to have

Job Offer

The successful applicant to the Chief Accounting Officer - Manufacturing - Remote position will be rewarded with the following:

• Base Salary Range: $240,000 - $255,000
