Our client is seeking a Director of Quality to lead the quality function at their manufacturing facility near Northfield, OH. This leader will oversee the entire quality department, drive the organization toward ISO 9001 certification, and set the strategic direction for quality initiatives.

Our client is a manufacturer of industrial and consumer products serving the beauty and cosmetics market. Their growth is driven by staying closely connected to the customers who rely on their products, continually improving what they make, introducing new innovations that add genuine value, and standing firmly behind every item they produce. They are seeking an experienced Director of Quality to lead their quality organization, drive ISO certification efforts, oversee shop‑floor quality processes, and shape the strategic direction of the function.Description
- Sets the overall approach for product quality, making sure it lines up with engineering and manufacturing goals and meets industry standards.
- Maintains and updates the full quality system, keeping procedures, documentation and audits current.
- Runs daily quality operations, including checks on incoming materials, in‑process work and finished products.
- Reviews supplier performance, handles audits and follows up on issues to make sure parts and materials meet expectations.
- Leads root‑cause work when problems come up and turns findings into long‑term fixes and improvements.
- Guides and supports the quality team, building a mindset focused on accuracy and craft.
- Designs and oversees testing for critical incoming components before they're approved for use.
- Reviews inspection data, keeps clear records and reports findings to engineering and leadership.
- Creates and maintains quality standards and measures used across the production floor.
- Checks that measurement tools are used correctly and that calibration stays up to date.
- Tracks non‑conforming parts and decides on follow‑up actions or next steps.
- Follows all safety rules and helps maintain a clean and compliant workspace.
- Supports external audits, provides required documents and keeps certification files organized.
- Stays current through training and learning to keep quality practices up to date.
- Takes on other responsibilities as needed.
Profile
- 10+ years working in quality control
- 5+ years of leading teams
- ISO 9001 QMS Management
- Six Sigma
- Experience with regulatory standards and QMS
